No. Seriously. I stand by that. This is a badly written book, written by an awful human being, following guidelines set out by an awful human being. And don’t blame the outline entirely – see how Grapplegate managed not to be toxic using Francine’s horrible worldbuilding? It’s possible. So I judge Francine and this ghostie harshly. And so should you. There’s no need for this level of cruelty/fuckwittery/bad messaging to impressionable tweens/teens.
