Episode 11: The Disembodied Hand of Queen Elizabeth II
Wing, Raven and Dove talk about Sweet Valley Twins 29: Jessica and the Brat Attack; 30: Princess Elizabeth; and Super Edition 3: The Big Camp Secret. They also discuss Bleak Valley and how these books tie into this theory.

“Stoneybrook”? Did BSC Snark teach us NOTHING?
Dove inflicted Sweet Valley on me. I’m inflicting Stoneybrook on her.
Re: Episode 10
I am so looking forward to the end of Twins as well as the end of the Unicorn Club. I only made it to the early 90s in Twins, and maybe 4 in the Unicorn Club. I’ve been trying to collect them, but I haven’t read most of them – yet. This is the one time I get to be in the dark 🙂
Re: Bleak Valley
I love BV. This series is terrible but I love it because ?? Bleak Valley re-contextualizes the series in a good way: the plot holes, the awful adults, the awful morals…
Re: An Excuse
Do you use Goodreads? I’ve added Gone and Making Out to mine. I love recs, but I need a list to keep track of them.
As one of four children, a special, off-limits room is absolutely fucking absurd.
The guard house is clearly to keep the undesirables out of Sweet Valley Middle.
“If you can’t be with the one you love, be with her face.”
Holy fuck, this explains so much.
I remember the coverage of Princess Diana’s death. At the risk of incurring Dove’s wrath, I do respect Harry’s childhood trauma informing his behavior to protect his own wife and children. One of my best friends got married on the same day as Harry and Meghan, which was cool because there was so much wedding love that we got to bask in for her.
Your rant about coverage reminds me of OJ’s saga and the Clinton impeachment. I can remember those clearly from childhood even though I did not care.
Wing – you are correct. Most of the time I see the confederate flag here, it’s in rural white communities, or around military bases since they pull heavily from the south. There is a flag displayed near my diverse school (and I flip it off every time I drive by it.) It is in a neighborhood that is half old white trash/half upperclass, white community (both parts are frequently racist, though I think the upper class side would be above visible racism.)
“When you go to camp, there’s always somebody trying to murder the kids.”
This is a SVH arc.
Grace = BV Elizabeth
Is this why no one remembers she’s a Unicorn?
“I reserve the right to change it if the plot needs it.”
That is the Jamie Suzanne way.
