Yeah, I don’t doubt it. I misread it as a child and now I automatically think “reet-man”, and I can’t be bothered to re-train my brain on this one. I think Wing and Raven say it correctly if left to their own devices though. I will admit, they pick up the wrong pronounciation from me if I say it too often in their presence. Likewise I say “Big Messa”, rather than “Big Meesa”. It’s the problem of reading things when you’re a kid and not knowing better.
In fact, I’ll go so far to say: I actively delight in saying it wrong, because why not!
